This song represents the realities that minorities and people of color face in society. We endure a different type of struggle. It is on us to stand up for what is right and band together in order to achieve equality and justice. Tupac writes in this song about us being the one's who have been alienated and outcasted from mainstream society and left to our own devices without adequate resources. We are heavily criticized for the hands that society has dealt us. These stressors have created the mentality that it is Us Against the World because not everyone starts off at the same starting point. In a world of chaos we rise up and take on every challenge that is placed in our way. Colin Kaepernick took a knee against injustice and gave a voice to the voiceless. His sacrifice made many turn against him, but he stood up for what was right. They say there is power in numbers, one against a million. It does not matter. We will make it to the finish line against all odds because it will always be Me Against the World.

N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton is an anthem that represents there is no shame in where anyone comes from and people should be proud of their roots. This is the case because these roots make us into the people that we are today. Compton has given birth to phenomenal artists, athletes, and many other successful individuals. Serena Williams is one of them. She is without a doubt the greatest tennis player of all time. Serena Williams has won 23 Major singles titles in the Open Era. Compton is a part of her and it has helped make her who she is today.
